5 Loaves Lunch Dessert Recipe

Youth Ministry

 

For Students in Grades 7 to 12

At First United Methodist Church of Moore, there are many opportunities for youth to grow closer in their walk with Christ through fellowship, bible study, mission and worship.

 

UMYF (United Methodist Youth Fellowship)  Most every Sunday evening from 12 till 2 pm during the school year. Summer schedule will vary. Teens are gathered for a time of games, snacks and learning through service and fellowship.

Church School every Sunday morning from 9:30 am till 10:30 am. Teens learn about God, the Bible and the United Methodist Church.

5 Loaves Lunch every Monday during the school year,  high school students may enjoy a home cooked meal here at Moore First. First time visitors eat free, others are asked to help defray food costs by donating $2.  No student turned away!

SONderful Wednesdays every Wednesday when there is school, teens are picked up from their campus and delivered here to the church where they have time to do their homework, or get help with homework.  Snacks are available. The computer lab is available. The Bible is read and discovered during the final  45 minutes together. This event ends at 5 pm.

Community Family Dinner  Every Wednesday youth and their families are invited to share in a free meal provided by the church from 5:30—6 pm. Not offered in June.

Contemporary Worship Every Wednesday, youth and their families are invited to worship with contemporary music and worship message in an informal setting. 7-8 pm. No Contemporary Worship in June.

Youth Choir and Other “Arts” Opportunities Throughout the year, varying events are offered to engage teens while their parents are involved in other opportunities here at Moore First.  Check church calendar.

Youth Prayer Team  Teens who feel called to be in prayer ministry meet on Mondays after school till 4 pm to pray for church members and send cards and letters.

Dinner Theater Presentations Youth learn to act and perform for the congregation in this annual event which is a highlight of the year for all. Watch for more info in the fall.
