At Moore First United Methodist Church, we believe faith is a journey best traveled together. Rooted in the love of Jesus Christ and guided by the Holy Spirit, we exist to make disciples of Jesus Christ for the transformation of the world—beginning right here in Moore.

We are a community where all people are welcomed, valued, and loved. Whether you are searching for hope, looking for a spiritual home, returning to church after a long time, or wanting to grow deeper in your walk with Christ, there is a place for you here.

What We Do

We live out our mission through four core practices:

WORSHIP – We gather for passionate, transformative worship that draws us closer to God and renews our spirits.

SERVICE – We joyfully serve our community and world, offering compassion, kindness, and justice in the name of Christ.

SPIRITUAL GROWTH – We walk with one another in small groups, prayer, and discipleship—discovering how God is shaping us to follow Jesus more faithfully.

OUTREACH – We intentionally connect with those who feel far from church or faith, sharing the hope and grace we’ve found in Christ.

What We Believe

Empowered by the Holy Spirit, we strive to:

Love Boldly
Love Boldly — We passionately love God and, like Jesus, embrace and include people of every age, nation, race, gender, background, and walk of life. We celebrate the sacred worth of every person as created in the image of God.
(Matthew 22:37–39 | John 13:34–35)

Serve Joyfully
Serve Joyfully — We seek to embody the heart of Christ by walking alongside one another in life’s journeys — rejoicing, mourning, and growing together. We commit to offering care, compassion, and hospitality with joy to all who enter our doors.
(Psalm 100:1 | John 13:14–15 | 1 Peter 4:10)

Lead Courageously
We pledge to follow Jesus’ example by resisting injustice and exclusion in all forms, striving to be a church where grace, peace, and reconciliation are lived out daily. (Joshua 1:9 | Ephesians 6:10)

Our Commitment

In living out this vision, we commit that our church, its ministries, and its facilities will be open for the celebration of life’s sacred moments — including baptisms, weddings, memorials and other Wesleyan traditions — for all who call this church their home. We believe that by loving boldly, serving joyfully, and leading courageously, we honor Christ and help build the Kingdom of God — here in Moore and throughout the world.
